About

Hello!
Cynthia H
2Ti 2:21 Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
Tit 2:3 - 5 Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.
My name is Cynthia. I am an older woman, looking to fulfill the good works YHWH has prepared for me. I was married for 25 years, have 3 adult children, and grandchildren. Although I lived most of my life in California, I now live in middle Tennessee.
I come from a long line of teachers and preachers, so I come by my interests and vocation naturally - teaching and reading. I have spent my life reading and teaching others to do so. Before moving to Tennessee, I was an instructional coach and a public school teacher specializing in reading.
My experience, training, and life-long bible study have led me to read and study the Bible in a very deep way, always looking for the literary devices used in the Bible, making connections across chapters and books.
Several years ago, I came across a website called "Restoration of Torah" by Tony Robinson where I learned about the chiastic structure and thematic connections of Biblical writing. Not too long after that I was introduced to "Figures of Speech" by EW Bullinger. (I do not agree with everything either of these men teach but I appreciate their scholarship.)
I have never seen the Bible the same. Though recognizing and understanding these elements is not necessary to understand YHWH's plan for us, I appreciate the art and intention behind the arrangement and compilation of writings over thousands of years.
IThanks for stopping by and taking the time to explore.
