1Peter 2:4-5 As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of YHWH chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to YHWH through Messiah Yashua
What can we learn about the spiritual house Peter is talking about from other stones in Scripture?
In this study, we will explore what it means to be "living stones" as we read about other stones in Scripture.
Specifically, we will contrast the bricks in the tower of Babel with the alter of unhewn stones.
YHWH does not want bricks of rebellion but living stones. YHWH does not want ornate architecture or artistic achievements, not even perfectly-colored chiasims. He wants us to humble ourselves so that He can build us up. He wants hearts of worship, not works of beauty.
Let's connect the stones in Scripture with our life in Messiah Yashua. We are all building something whether we realize it or not. The question is, are you a brick or stone?
